Would a facility like what you have proposed still be feasible? Absolutely and I would support it whole heartedly - anything which allows emergency services to concentrate on what they should be dealing with (actual emergencies) is a no brainer.
Where I get a little bit stuck is when you start too look at feasibility - who would decide which patients went where? Who has the ability too say "you're in hospital due to being intoxicated, here is a bill" - this fee is not a fee, in essence it is a fine for being too drunk. What grounds would anybody have to charge someone a fine for needing looked after due to drinking too much, but not when needing looked after for injuring themselves during a different leisure activity?
As much as it would make sense, I feel this would be very tough to pull off in practice as well as theoryJames Deannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2830084253401570472.post-39671020143681889202014-01-29T21:37:33.360+13:002014-01-29T21:37:33.360+13:00I know you have a great reputation now Eric. and o...I know you have a great reputation now Eric. and of course well deserved , especially for a Manitoba Canadian.Where is that.
I never believe anything anybody says about alcohol, including you, Alcohol it is just such socialised political crap.
I hated it when they NZ Govt put up prices for cigarettes to punish Maori, and punish our other people.

I hope you can lead us further on this issue, and I would not mind betting you can .lolitas brothernoreply@blogger.com
