Convincing

Tyler asks, "What is the most ridiculous thing someone has ever tried to convince you of?"

It's rather more fun to ask, "What is the most ridiculous thing of which you've ever tried to convince someone?"*

Back in high school, I convinced a few folks in our chemistry class that Mount Rushmore had been carved by lightning and wind erosion. Sure, the sculptor did the fine details. But the old Indian name for it was "Mountain of Four Faces" for a reason, and that's why the sculptor picked that mountain for the monument.

Good times.

* Not ending sentences with prepositions also is fun.
