Grim Tabula Rasa

A picture that's been making the rounds by email. The Bridge of Remembrance is over on the right hand side, about half-way up. If that's then Cashel street, it's unrecognisable. Yet to come down are the Hotel Grand Chancellor (the tallest one at picture centre) and surely more than a few others.

At least parking downtown won't be a problem once they open up the cordon in a few months.

  1. Except that Wilsons Parking have been snapping up empty plots around the South-East edge of the CBD. I imagine they're intending on doing the same elsewhere.

  2. One of the contradictions I have to live with is that I love capitalism, but hate Wilsons parking: they're swine to deal with.
